UWTSD celebrates Go Green Week 2017

Go Green Week is a weeklong celebration of sustainability and was a great opportunity for us to celebrate and build on our commitment to embedding sustainability across our campuses.

The Sustainability Delivery Team hit the road with a sustainability roadshow, visiting all of our campuses with their Recycle Rush game, a race against time to see who can sort the fastest, opportunities for getting involved in sustainability at UWTSD and tips on being green.

Staff and students came together and took action to help our declining bee and pollinator population by planting wildflower gardens.

A #BuySellSwap Fair was held where staff and students had stalls to give away, or sell, their unwanted but in good condition items and encourage reuse and recycling.

Faculties also got involved with Go Green Week with one of the highlights being a talk on the Green Impact of IT held by the School of Applied Computing.

Thanks to everyone who helped us turn UWTSD green!
