“Enabling Children’s and Young People’s Rights”

Hands in the Air

Training on United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child Welsh Government supported training session.

The University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD) are providing Welsh Government supported training to enable those who work with children and young people to have the knowledge and understanding required to ensure that the principals of the UNCRC are integrated into their practices.

During 2019/20 training sessions for the UNCRC are to be offered to key areas identified as requiring additional training:

  • Health
  • Sport
  • Local Authorities
  • Police School Liaison Officers
  • Education: Initial Teacher Education

The training will be participatory and reflective; it will engage a range of resources including multimedia to encourage debate and discussion around the principles of the UNCRC and how they can be embedded into practice to enable children and young people to access their rights.

The range of resources used for the training, including the multimedia used at the training will be made available on the UWTSD website.

How much will the Training cost?

The training is fully supported by the Welsh Government
