Advantages Available to Alumni
Considering a Masters? If you decide to embark on one of our full-time or part-time postgraduate courses within two years of completing your undergraduate degree, you’ll automatically benefit from a fee reduction of up to £2,500 through the UWTSD Taught Postgraduate Progression Bursary.

Who can access this?
UK/EU alumni who have graduated within the past two years
Whether seeking work after graduation, thinking about a career change, or looking at further study, you’ll be supported in a number of ways even after you’ve completed your studies.
One-to-one support from our Careers Advises can get you generating ideas about your career goals or further study options. They can give you advice on CV writing and interview skills, and can even support you in finding work experience. Plus, if you are signed up to our e-newsletters, you will be invited to careers fairs organised on campus where you can network and seek opportunities through a range of employers.
You can also continue to use the MyCareer platform which gives you access to a jobs board, career planner, automated CV checker, a virtual mock interview experience, plus more. Simply convert to an alumni account after you’ve graduated.

Who can access this?
All alumni up to three years after graduation
If you are a business owner or freelancer, or even have an idea you want to develop, as alumni you can access all kinds of support to help you grow your current business or get your fledgling ideas off the ground.
From one-to-one advice and guidance, courses and workshops, even financial support, our enterprise team can help you with your business ventures, no matter how long ago you graduated.
If you’re thinking of starting or have started a new business in the UK within the past year, you could be eligible for our Entrepreneurship Start-Up Grant that can help your company grow and prosper.

Who can access this?
All alumni no matter what your year of graduation and no matter which preceding institution you left
As alumni, you are given continued access to our Library Services and Resources.
You can continue to use library spaces for studying, access books (for reference purposes only), as well as search the library catalogue to discover resources held across our libraries.
If you live or work locally and wish to borrow books, you can sign up to the Libraries Together Passport Scheme.
Alumni can also access a selection of our eResources using the walk-in access Wales scheme and if you are studying for a higher degree at another UK Institution, you may also use the Library service through the SCONUL Access scheme.
If you are visiting our libraries or anywhere else on campus, you can also connect to our free Guest Wi-Fi.
Who can access this?
All alumni however physical access is only available at Lampeter, Carmarthen and Swansea.

Looking to commemorate your time at UWTSD through some merchandise and memorabilia? Look no further than the UWTSD Shop.
Alumni benefit from a 10% discount using code ALUMNI10 and a bundle deal discount on a hoodie and bobble hat using code TWOFOR30.
As well as merchandise, you’ll find stationery and art supplies at great prices here.
You can browse online or visit in person. A physical shop is located in the Cwad on Carmarthen campus and is open during term times, and a small merchandise stall is situated in the Library on the Lampeter campus and is open for physical purchases during library hours.
Events and Reunions
As long as you are signed up to our e-newsletters and have updated your details, we’ll make sure to keep you informed of any events we have planned, including reunion events, professional networking or training events, careers fairs and more. There’s always a warm welcome awaiting you back on your campus of study.
We have great reunion packages on offer on our Carmarthen and Lampeter campuses and can offer support should you wish to arrange a reunion event for you and your old classmates.
