Bright Open Spaces to Suit Your Learning

Our libraries offer bright, open spaces with a wide range of facilities and study areas, designed to suit all learning styles. We offer collections developed to reflect the research and teaching of academic departments, a vast array of electronic resources, and support from expert staff.

We offer digital and print collections, Online Resource Lists, InfoSkills and Digital Skills training, learning spaces, and online and face-to-face support from our knowledgeable and friendly staff. We hope that being part of the Library inspires you, empowers you and supports you in achieving your goals and objectives. Our staff are here to help, whether that’s in person at the Help Desk or via email, phone, Twitter or Facebook. We value your feedback, so please do not hesitate to contact the library team if there is anything we can do to improve the services we offer you.

  • Library and Learning Resources welcome offers of donations that complement our existing collections and support the current learning, teaching, and research activities of the University. Please contact us before bringing any material into the library to discuss your offer and make sure your donation will be a good fit for our collection and enhance our range of learning resources.

Due to the space and the staff expertise required to catalogue donations for discovery, we assess all offers of material based on our Collection Development Policy. We aim to ensure that donated material is still current or of historical relevance to University research, is not already duplicated in our collections, and is in good condition for our readers to use.

If your donation is accepted, it will become property of the University Library and subject to the terms in our Collection Development Policy.

Please note that unfortunately we cannot accept unsolicited donations so make sure to contact us before sending any material to avoid disappointment.
