"Negotiating a Changed World"

This year, we are celebrating the achievements of our third-year students for more reasons than usual. From starting university post-pandemic, these talented individuals have negotiated a changed world where very little has remained the same.

In their three years of study, they have experienced a technological and cultural revolution which has seen digital technologies and artificial intelligence become a reality in a breathtakingly short period of time. Through this, our students have seamlessly and confidently adapted to these once-in-a-lifetime changes. They have been brave and bold in creating audacious creative advertising campaigns that have embraced new digital platforms, and reinvented many of the traditional formats.

This is sadly the final year of the BA(Hons) Creative Advertising course at Swansea College of Art. Throughout the last 15 years our talented students have won many creative accolades, including D&AD Awards, New Designers Awards and Student Marketing Awards. Many of our alumni now work in senior creative positions for internationally acclaimed agencies such as Droga5, Grey, and Saatchi & Saatchi.

On signing off for the last time, our final ambition is that this years’ cohort will continue to achieve the same professional success that has been the defining attribute of this course. We would like to share a big thank you to every member of staff who has taught on the programme over the years, and to every single student who has studied with us. We celebrate and thank our parting third year students for signing us out on a such high note indeed. Well done all! 😁
