Mac Studio
Our dedicated digital Illustration Mac Suite is equipped with iMacs, Wacom Tablets and Cintiq screens with access to the full Creative Cloud. This includes key industry software packages such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and After Effects.
Life Drawing Studio
We use a dedicated Life Drawing room for you to study and draw the live human form. We use professional models to allow our Illustration students to study anatomy, proportions, shapes, light and shadow from different angles and through a broad variety of creative approaches.
Letterpress Studio
In our Swansea College of Art Letterpress Workshop, you can explore traditional letterpress techniques with moveable type and book making equipment. This is supported by technicians who will help you realise these traditional, craft-based outcomes.
Risograph Studio
Risograph printing blends screen printing aesthetics with photocopier mechanics. With technical guidance from our specialist staff, you will create bold and unique prints through a process that uses layered images and vibrant coloured inks.
Printmaking Studio
Our very well-equipped Printmaking Studio supports a range of processes from Lino, Screenprint and Etching to Collagraph and Adana letterpress.
Photography Studio and Media Equipment
Students can explore lighting, composition and storytelling techniques through access to the Swansea College of Art Photography Lighting Studio. This also includes access to cameras, video equipment, green screen, and portable lighting for photography and moving image work.
Large Format Printing and Digital Fabrication
Facilities include large-format printers and specialist equipment such as laser cutting, allowing you to expand your practice into spatial, physical, and experimental design outcomes.
Shared Workshops & Cross-Disciplinary Access
You’ll benefit from shared access to workshops from across the art school, which includes 3D printing, wood, glass and metal work, all of which encourages interdisciplinary experimentation and a balance between traditional craft and contemporary design practice.
