Aisha is a Lecturer on the Health and Social Care Programme. She has experience in designing, developing, leading and contributing to various modules across the undergraduate and postgraduate programmes.
Dr Aishat Taiwo Bakre have a BSc in Human Nutrition and hold a Masters of Public Health in Human Nutrition at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria coupled with another Masters in Health Promotion and Population Health at the University of Ulster, Northern Ireland. She received her PhD in Epidemiology and Public Health at the University of Wolverhampton. Dr Aishat also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice in Higher Education (PGCAP) at the University of Wolverhampton. She is a a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).

Dr Aishat is passionate about Social Epidemiology and Public Health research including health promotion, health inequalities, communicable and non-communicable diseases. She has made significant contribution to dementia research and has published several peer-reviewed journals and a reviewer for several Public Health Journals.
