Share Your Story
We’re looking for friendly, reliable students to join our Student Ambassador team!
You’ll support open days, taster sessions, and other recruitment events – sharing
what student life is really like here at UWTSD. Whether you’re chatting to visitors in
person or posting on our socials and online platforms, you’ll play a key role in
welcoming the next generation of UWTSD students.
Build Your Skills
As part of the Student Ambassador Team, you’ll take your skills to the next level
while making a real impact on campus. From sharpening your communication
through public speaking and peer engagement, to developing leadership by guiding
tours or mentoring others, you’ll grow in confidence and adaptability. You’ll also
strengthen your teamwork, time management, and problem-solving abilities - all
while gaining hands on experience and forming lasting connections. It’s more than
just a role - it’s your opportunity to grow both personally and professionally.

Here’s an idea of what our Student Ambassadors get up to…
As you can see no two days are the same as a student ambassador and we’ve broken down the varying duties into job types below. If there are any specific job roles that take your interest please note these on your application. But don’t worry you have the option to work across all roles with our flexible approach to onboarding.
Examples of Ambassador Opportunities
- Represent UWTSD at Open Days and other Recruitment Events - showcase our amazing campuses and share your story with prospective students and families.
- Become an online Unibuddy Ambassador – chat with prospective students and create blogs and vlogs to highlight what student life is really like at UWTSD.
- Support Outreach and Widening Access - assist with school and community sessions or help run overnight residentials as part of our Reaching Wider initiatives.
- Join the National Mentoring - provide 1:1 online support to Year 12 and 13 learners, helping them build confidence, develop key skills, and explore their future options.
- Be a Student Content Creator – produce fun, engaging content for our social media channels, capturing the UWTSD experience on and off campus.
- Get involved in other events – from supporting subject-specific activities to helping out at Careers Fairs and Hwb Welcome events, there are plenty of ways to contribute and get involved.
The opportunities above are just a taste of what you could be part of as a Student Ambassador. You might not do it all, but there’s plenty to get excited about!
