What is your favourite thing about Swansea campus?

My favourite thing about Swansea campus is the stunning beachfront location. Being able to take study breaks with a walk along the bay or enjoy sunsets right outside the building.

Why did you choose UWTSD?

I chose UWTSD because of its strong focus on student support, smaller class sizes, and practical learning. The university’s blending of academic theory with real-world experience stood out to me. The variety of courses and flexible learning options.

What did you enjoy outside your studies?

I found a good balance between studying and enjoying my time here, which really helped me stay motivated and happy. Outside of my studies, I enjoyed exploring the local areas as it has some amazing beaches and parks, which are perfect for relaxing or going  out with friends.

What do you hope to do when you graduate?

When I graduate, I hope to start a career where I can actually use what I’ve learned, maybe lets me travel, and gives me a chance to work with people, whether it’s in hospitality, business, or something similar. I have also always had the idea of starting my own small business, where I can be creative and build something of my own. In the end, I just want to enjoy what I do, keep learning, and feel good about the direction my life is going.

Would you recommend UWTSD and why?

Yes, I would definitely recommend UWTSD. It has a good mix of theory and practical work, preparing us for the real hospitality world. The campus is in a beautiful location, and there’s always events going on. Overall, it’s a great place to learn, grow, and feel part of a community.

What is your favourite thing about Hospitality and Hotel Management?

I enjoyed the mix of everything, active classrooms and hotel placements, from learning about customer service to understanding how hotels and businesses are run. It kept things interesting and gave me a clearer idea of what I want to do in the future. I also really liked working with people and seeing how small details can make a big difference in someone’s experience.
