Corey Edwards
Background
Corey has over a decade of professional and teaching experience within Health and Social Care and Psychology. Corey’s journey began working in the private care sector and moved into teaching and management. Corey has an extensive network of contacts in various industries such as the third sector, research and social care.
Corey obtained his BSc in Psychology and his subsequent MSc in Abnormal and Clinical Psychology from Swansea University in 2017 and 2018 respectively. He then worked in the private care sector whilst obtaining a Certificate in Higher Education in Good Autism Practice in 2019 from Coventry University and a PGCE (PCET) in 2022 from the University of South Wales.
Corey is also the Chairman of the Board of Trustees at Local Aid for Children and Community Special Needs, a charity for children and young people based in Swansea. He acts as the Safeguarding Lead and assists with staff development and third-sector success.

Professional and/or Research Experience
Corey works as a Lecturer and Programme Manager, teaching across the undergraduate portfolio and contributes to the development of new programmes and establishing external partnerships through recruitment and networking. He is also the Academic Misconduct Coordinator and Social Media Coordinator for his department and is part of the AI Learning and Teaching Consultation Group within the university. Corey’s academic work currently focuses on problematic internet use in neurodivergent individuals and support for managing this behaviour.
