Katherine Clewett
Background
Katherine Clewett is Programme Manager for Foundation Art and Design at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD). With over twenty-seven years of teaching experience, she has worked widely across art and design, developing a broad skill set and deep disciplinary knowledge. Katherine holds a Foundation Diploma, a BA in Sculpture, a PGCE, and an MA in Contemporary Dialogues.
She is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (HEA), recognising her commitment to teaching excellence. In her role, Katherine leads the Foundation programme, supporting students to build confidence, critical awareness and creative independence. Her teaching balances experimentation with reflection, encouraging students to challenge assumptions while refining skills. Through her leadership, she advances art and design education, inspiring the next generation of creative practitioners.
