Background

Laura has 13 years teaching experience at UWTSD and has taught and assessed across programmes within Swansea Law School and Swansea Business school. Throughout her time at UWTSD, Laura has utilised her teaching experience to inform the development of the Criminology portfolio to one which aims to prepare students for the world of work and progression into the field of Criminology and Criminal Justice. 

Laura obtained her LLB in Law and Criminology from Swansea University and an MA in Applied Criminal Justice and Criminology; also from Swansea University. Her research interests are Child Sexual Abuse and the rehabilitation of offenders.

With over 13 years of teaching experience across degree and professional qualifications at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, Laura brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to their role. Passionate about widening access to Higher Education, they are committed to addressing barriers that prevent students from reaching their full potential. Their work includes developing an innovative project in collaboration with local colleges, giving prospective students the opportunity to experience university life at UWTSD. This initiative reflects their belief in inclusive education and their drive to create meaningful pathways for learners from all backgrounds to succeed in higher education.
