Background
Melanie has over thirty years policing experience as a Police Constable, Sergeant and Temporary Inspector in a cross section of policing roles, inclusive of police training and assessment and currently works within the Swansea Business School delivering the PEQF - Police Apprenticeship programme to local police forces and a number of subjects to students on Criminology and Policing Programmes and is passionate about the future of British Policing.

Professional and/or Research Experience
Melanie has undertaken over thirty years as a police officer working in both urban and rural settings, with experience in custody, safeguarding of vulnerable adults and children, investigation of sexual offences, criminal investigations, public order, training and development of police officers and staff, statutory and third sector partnership development and criminal justice prosecutions.
Melanie is currently delivering the PEQF Police degree apprenticeship programme to two local forces and teaching across the Criminology and Policing programmes at UWTSD.
