Background

Angus began his academic work with doctoral studies at Lancaster University, where he completed his PhD in Theology and Religious Studies, focusing on inter-religious dialogue in conservative post-modern Christian theology.  

He subsequently taught at both Lancaster University and at the University of Cumbria, and was an Investigations Officer at Keele University handling sensitive cases involving sexual assault, violence, and drugs. 

Specialist Subjects

  • As Senior Lecturer in Theology and Interfaith Studies, he delivers academic instruction across foundation, undergraduate, and postgraduate levels, specializing in theological ethics, interfaith dialogue, and comparative religious studies.

Professional and/or Research Experience

Angus welcomes research degree supervision in areas including Interfaith Studies, contemporary Christian theology, post-modern theology and philosophy, queer approaches to theology, and comparative projects in the Christian and Islamic traditions.
