If you’re applying to study your first degree, our open events are designed to help you feel confident and informed. Families and supporters are welcome.

Upcoming undergraduate events

Undergraduate open events are held at our campuses in Swansea and Carmarthen.

At these events, you can:

  • choose an open day or open evening, and a date and location that works best for you — you don’t need to attend every event
  • speak to academic teams about courses taught at each campus
  • meet current students and ask questions about studying and student life

Once you’ve found the right event, you can book your place in minutes.

Undergraduate open day

A structured, guided experience with talks, tours and time to explore the campus.

It includes:

Campus and accommodation tours
Subject talks and tasters
A chance to meet lecturers and students
Finance, support and wellbeing advice

Undergraduate open evening

A shorter, flexible, drop-in option for local visitors or busy schedules.

It includes:

Drop in any time between 4–6pm
1-to-1 chats with lecturers
Optional short tour
Advice on applications and finance

Travel and arrival

All our campuses are easy to reach by train, bus, bike or car.

    Check in at IQ Building reception on the ground floor.

    On foot

    12–15 minutes from Swansea Train Station, along safe pedestrian routes.

    By bike

    Easy access via Swansea’s waterfront cycle network and secure bike storage on campus.

    By train

    Regular services from Carmarthen, Cardiff, and beyond. Swansea Station is a short walk from the campus.

    By bus

    Frequent city routes stop close to this campus.

    By car

    Nearby parking available at SA1 Waterfront area.

    Accessibility

    Step-free routes, lifts, accessible toilets and assistance available on arrival.

  • Where to go when you arrive:

    Check in at the College of Art reception on arrival.

    Staff will direct you to the correct building or event space.

    Travel options

    On foot

    Around 7–10 minutes from Swansea Train Station, along safe pedestrian routes.

    By bike

    Easily accessible via city centre cycle routes, with bike parking available nearby.

    By train

    Regular services from Carmarthen, Cardiff, and beyond. The College of Art is a short walk from the station.

    By bus

    Frequent city routes stop close to the College of Art buildings.

    By car

    There is no on site parking. Nearby pay and display parking are available within walking distance.

    Accessibility

    Step free access is available to the main buildings. Accessible toilets and assistance are available on arrival — please speak to a member of staff if you need support.

  • Where to go when you arrive:

    Check in at the Halliwell Centre reception.

    Staff and student ambassadors will be ready to greet you.

    Travel options

    On foot

    Around 25–30 minutes from Carmarthen Train Station along signposted routes.

    By bike

    Accessible via National Cycle Route 4, with secure bike storage on campus.

    By train

    Regular services from Swansea, Milford Haven, Pembroke Dock and Cardiff.

    By bus

    Frequent buses stop near College Road and Jobs Well Road.

    By car

    Parking is available on campus for open days.

    Step-free routes, lifts, accessible toilets and assistance available.
