Role in the University

To teach the basics of Russian language to opera students and coach Russian Opera and song

Background

I have coached Russian at Welsh National Opera since 2003 and have additionally coached at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, City of Birmingham Symphony Chorus, Leeds Philharmonic Chorus and elsewhere. I have prepared soloists for productions in the USA, Hungary, Sweden and all parts of the UK. As a choral conductor I have performed in 17 countries. As well as cities in the UK, including London and Cardiff, venues include New York, Moscow, St Petersburg, Paris, Brussels, Buenos Aires, Helsinki, and in Budapest I performed at the world premiere of Sir Karl Jenkins’ “Bards of Wales”. Working in Hungary I have coached opera singers and choral societies in English and Welsh and have performed as a Narrator for the “Bards of Wales” in the UK, USA, Hungary and Romania.
