Cynefin Green Health Hub
Introduction
Welcome to the Cynefin Green Health Hub
Cynefin Green Health Hub brings people, nature, and wellness together.
Supported by the UK Government’s Shared Prosperity Fund, Cynefin offers nature-based activities like sensory walks, fire-making and willow weaving - all designed to boost well-being and connection to nature.
Run by UWTSD in partnership with local groups, the mission of the green health hub is to help people feel better by spending time in nature, moving more, and noticing and engaging in the world around them. Evidence shows that being in and around nature improves mental, physical, and community health - and this impact is evident with the many different groups of people who are taking part in this work.
Cynefin is about belonging - to ourselves, our communities, and the natural world.

Coed Lleol / Small Wood Wales
One of the key partners in the work at Cynefin Green Health Hub is Coed Lleol.
Coed Lleol / Small Woods Wales offers free woodland and nature based activities to support wellbeing. In Carmarthenshire there are events in beautiful green spaces across the county, including at The Green Health Hub Cynefin. Coed Lleol are key delivery partners with the task of providing a programme of events which enable people to connect, try something new and have fun outdoors. The events cater for all, and include activities such as bushcraft, foraging, green woodworking, nature-based arts and crafts and more. All the equipment is provided and there is a warm welcome around the campfire from the expert Activity Leaders.
Bespoke Walks
We offer bespoke nature walks. We have created them with people with disabilities, carers, and disability professionals in mind, though all are welcome to join one.
On these walks you can explore the world around you through sight, smell, sound and touch.
Case Studies
We are delighted to share the stories of how we have helped local people to be in nature and the impact that this has had on their wellness. These short videos summarise why it is important and how we can help people, communities and organisations to be as well as possible.
