Role in the University

I teach Classical Chinese texts for a variety of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes, including the BA (Hons) in Sinology and the BA (Hons) in Sinology (Humanistic Education), as well as the MA in Confucian Classical Studies and the MA in Chinese Buddhist Textual Studies. I also supervise the dissertations of PhD students working on topics in the field of Sinology.

Research Interests

My research interests centre on classical Chinese texts for state governance and character cultivation. I am currently working on the English translation of the Essentials for Bringing about Order from Assembled Texts (Qunshu zhiyao).
