Unlock the potential of Immersive Technologies for your organisation

  • An Introduction to Immersive Technology

Our Introduction to Immersive Technology Course aims to establish a foundational understanding of immersive technology, which participants can later apply in practical settings.

You will start by exploring the fundamentals of immersive technology, addressing common misconceptions
and delving into the core elements of Augmented Reality (AR), Mixed Reality (MR), and Virtual Reality (VR). The course covers practical applications such as working with 360-degree images and videos, creating virtual tours, understanding different types of interactions, and getting introduced to 3D modelling and design.

Most importantly, by the end of the 10-weeks, with the course emphasising how these skills can be applied within an industry and business setting, you will be equipped to apply their knowledge in ways that support both their businesses and their personal development.

  • Basics in 3D Development and VR Implementation

For those looking to deepen their expertise, our 3D Development and VR Implementation Course builds on the foundational knowledge from the Introduction to immersive technology Course, offering more customisation and control for creating digital content tailored to workplace needs.

This course covers web-based and headset-based virtual world applications, along with comprehensive training in Blender, a powerful, free-to-install software for creating detailed 3D virtual props. The
skills learned in Blender will integrate seamlessly with other applications, empowering participants to design and build their own virtual worlds and begin building a skillset ready for implementing immersive technology.

Whether you’re interested in creating virtual spaces for teaching, workplace integration, or testing purposes, this course will provide the tools and knowledge you need to get started.

  • Lesson 1: Introducing extended reality (XR).
  • Lesson 2 & 3: Working with 360° images
  • Lesson 4: Exploring methods of interactions.
  • Lesson 5: Introducing virtual tours.
  • Lesson 6: Exploring virtual worlds.
