Background

The human resource aspect of Beverley’s position as the Head of Finance and Administration in Wales for a national organisation brought her into daily contact with the difficulties people experience and their struggles to address these. This, aligned with the management aspect of her position, which included fostering personal and professional growth and encouraging success, led to research into the potential and power of psychotherapy and a change to a more personal-centred management style. Eventually, her growing interest in encouraging a person to use their inherent instincts to find potential and growth led Dr Cole to transfer her use of the person-centred approach within the business world into a clinical realm through training as a psychotherapist. Her previous work experience, her counselling and research inform her teaching.
