Background

Jingjing’s educational career began in the classroom as a school teacher in England. She has since expanded her expertise into higher education after her PhD, previously serving as the Languages for All (Mandarin Chinese) Programme Coordinator at Cardiff University and as a Lecturer of Chinese as a Foreign Language at Xiamen University, before joining UWTSD.

Jingjing holds QTS in both China (MoE) and the UK (DfE), in addition to Certificate for Teachers of Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages. Her teaching expertise spans all age groups, from primary and secondary students in England and Wales to worldwide adult HSK learners. She has a record in teacher education and development, having trained hundreds of pre- and in-service Confucius Institute teachers and volunteers destined for Europe, Africa, and Southeast Asia, and visiting British Council TAs in Wales.
