Background

Robyn Griffiths is a lecturer and programme manager within the School of Business at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David. His work centres on designing and delivering business education that is both intellectually rigorous and personally meaningful, encouraging students to develop their confidence, critical thinking, and sense of purpose. Robyn is particularly interested in how strategic thinking, leadership, and employability can be taught in ways that genuinely connect with learners at different stages of their journey.

In addition to teaching, he contributes to digital engagement across the university, helping to showcase the work we do and the impact of our students, staff, and collaborative projects. With professional experience across a range of industries and a person-centred approach to education, Robyn aims to bring a holistic, real-world lens to everything he teaches, helping learners to think not just about what they’re doing now, but who they want to become.

Professional and/or Research Experience

Robyn has led the design and delivery of both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at UWTSD, with a focus on making business education active, applied and relevant. His teaching is grounded in strategic thinking, leadership, sustainability, and employability, often using real-world challenges and problem-based learning.

He also works with external organisations across a range of industries, supporting areas such as strategy, leadership, and people development. These insights feed directly into his teaching and help students see how theory connects with practice.

His PhD research explores how academic writing can be made more accessible, using his ‘Four A’s’ model, which supports critical thinking and structure.

In addition, Robyn leads digital engagement within the School of Business, sharing the work of students and staff across UWTSD’s wider platforms. He values interdisciplinary collaboration and enjoys working across schools to give learners a more holistic, connected experience.
