Elliott Atkins

Background
Elliott Atkins is the founder of Exercise3, an NCSC assured provider of cyber incident exercising which uses realistic scenarios to help organisations test and improve their cyber incident preparedness. Prior to founding Exercise3, he held a series of senior roles, including Head of the UK Government’s Computer Emergency Response Team (GovCertUK), Head of Cyber Intelligence at QinetiQ and Head of Incident Response at Nominet, the UK top-level domain registry.
A Fellow of the British Computer Society, Elliott was appointed by Her Majesty the Queen as the first Chief Information Security Officer to the Royal Household in 2021.

Having spent almost 30 years in the industry, Elliott is internationally recognised in the field of cyber security and incident response. He was founder of the London Access Point (lonap.net), has delivered keynote speeches at the NATO Cyber Defence Centre of Excellence and currently acts as the UK liaison member of FIRST, the global Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams (first.org).

Additional Information
Outside of work, Elliott is heavily involved in aircraft preservation and is Chair of Trustees of the Panavia Tornado Preservation Group, a registered charity which educates and inspires future generations of aviators and engineers.
