Pak To Yip
Lecturer in Graphic Design (Wuhan)
Background
Pak To Yip is a lecturer from Hong Kong who relocated to the UK in 2022. Before joining UWTSD in 2023, he taught at universities in Sheffield and Leeds, following 12 years of teaching experience in Hong Kong. He now primarily teaches on UWTSD’s partnership programmes with Wuhan University of Technology in China and continues to share his knowledge and passion for art and design.
To earned his BDes in Graphic Design from Griffith University and went on to work in the design industry in Hong Kong for a decade before moving into higher education. He later completed an MA in Visual Arts at Hong Kong Baptist University and, more recently, the Art Specialist Course in Printmaking at the Hong Kong Visual Arts Centre.

Professional and/or Research Experience
As a practising illustrator and printmaker, To's research output lies in numerous craft markets and fairs and art exhibitions he participated worldwide. He took part in the Arts Itoya artist residency program in Kyushu, Japan in 2025. He is currently a member of the Hong Kong Society of Illustrators.
