Background

Tori is Section Leader for Dance and Programme Director of the BA (Hons) Musical Theatre course at WAVDA, UWTSD. She trained at The Royal Ballet School and performed with The Royal Ballet company, in West End productions, and touring shows. Her career spans over 20 years in higher education and the performing arts, with expertise in performance, choreography, and creative direction. 

Tori has led programme and curriculum design, and served as an external examiner and panel member for HE institutions. She fosters inclusive, student-centred learning, supporting students in developing artistic voices and preparing for sustainable careers in the performing arts.

Professional and/or Research Experience

Tori is a highly experienced performer, choreographer, and educator with a career spanning Classical Ballet, Musical Theatre, Commercial and Contemporary performance. Her creative work includes choreography for stage and screen, movement direction, and artistic collaborations.

Tori has taught across a range of disciplines including Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Contemporary, and Musical Theatre, and has led modules in technique, choreography, and professional development. With extensive experience in curriculum design, validation, and academic leadership, Tori has served as an external examiner and panel member for HE institutions, contributing to sector-wide quality assurance. Her practice is rooted in inclusive pedagogy and interdisciplinary collaboration.
