Across two visits on 23rd February and 3rd March, organised by UWTSD’s Careers and Employability Service, students from Swansea Business School and programmes including Events, Gastronomy, Hospitality, Leisure, Sport, Travel and Tourism Management were given an exclusive tour of the company’s offices and an in-depth look at the brand’s journey to global success.

During the visit, students and staff gained valuable insight into the company’s innovative approach, learning how creativity, collaboration, and a willingness to challenge convention have driven its rapid rise. The experience highlighted how teamwork and bold thinking can translate into real-world success, offering students a tangible connection between their studies and future careers.

Established in Swansea in 2015 by two school friends, Au Vodka is known for its disruptive marketing stunts and iconic gold bottles. The business embodies an urban-driven ethos of success and individuality.

Mel Cameron from UWTSD’s Careers and Employability Service, who organised the visits, emphasised the importance of such opportunities:

“Experiences like this prove just how important it is to get students out of the classroom and into environments where they can see what they can become and learn directly from the best in the business. These visits help bring theory to life, build confidence, and show students what is possible when creativity, innovation, and ambition are put into practice.”
