The University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD) has once again been recognised among the UK’s leading event educators and innovators, securing three nominations at the prestigious National Outdoor Events Association (NOEA) Awards 2025.

UWTSD is a finalist in:

  • Best University or College Events Course – BA Events & International Festivals Management
  • Best Student Event – ITT Future You Wales (student-led)
  • Regional Event of the Year – Swansea House Party (delivered in partnership with Swansea Building Society Area)

These nominations directly reflect the hands-on experience students gain through real events created and delivered in partnership with the industry. Both ITT Future You Wales and Swansea House Party showcase student creativity, innovation, and professional capability while addressing industry needs and community engagement.

UWTSD has a strong track record at the NOEA Awards:

  • In 2024, ITT Future You Wales won Best Student Event
  • In 2023, the Events & International Festivals Management programme won Best University or College Events Course (joint) and a student-led event in partnership with Swansea Arena won Best Student Event

“To be shortlisted for a third consecutive year is an outstanding achievement,” said Jacqui Jones, Programme Manager for International Travel, Tourism, Events & Festivals Management. “It reflects our students’ professionalism and the invaluable support of industry partners.”

“These collaborations give students the opportunity to shape the future of sustainable, inclusive, and impactful events,” added Debbie Jenkins, Events Management lecturer.

The ITT Future You Wales 2025 event continues to go from strength to strength, bringing together over 600 students, employers, and industry professionals this year for networking, workshops, and inspiring talks. The event achieved record attendance and exceptional feedback from delegates and partners.

“The enthusiasm and vision of UWTSD students make them stand out year after year,” said James Morgan, Creative Learning Producer at Swansea Arena.

The NOEA Awards celebrate best practice and innovation across the outdoor live events sector. The 2025 ceremony will be held on 26 November at the historic Pump Rooms, Bath, with a reception around the Roman Baths.
