What is your favourite thing about Swansea campus?

My favourite thing about the campus was how easily I was able to make close friends and find tight-knit communities within the smaller campus. It was comfortable and I felt my confidence grow the more I spoke with and presented to my classmates. I also loved the library, especially the private study rooms. They were such good spaces to work with friends in a more quiet, focused space, with so much information accessible.

Why did you choose UWTSD?

I chose UWTSD because the campus is close to my home, so I could still be with family and friends. The campus is also in a nice location that is close to town and surrounding cafés/restaurants, always giving me a chance to enjoy myself after university.

What do you enjoy outside of your studies?

I spent a lot of my free time with friends, family, and my best friend. I also travelled, and more recently I visited a dream location of mine. This was such a highlight as I was able to view and understand architecture in a different country while visiting my sister and nieces. I also spent time on some hobbies such as personal art projects, reading and video games, which I always come back to when I want to relax and enjoy myself.

What do you hope to do when you graduate ?

I hope to find employment within Architecture to broaden my skillset and experience. It would also be great to learn in a more hands-on environment that my studies have prepared me for. I’m extremely excited to step another foot into the profession, now that I have completed the first step of my journey. I also hope to travel even more in the next few years and learn new life lessons as I go.

What is your favourite thing about your course?

One of my favourite things about the course was the people and atmosphere I was surrounded by during my studies. Feeling at home amongst my classmates was so important within my university journey and helped me gain so much confidence through the years. I also made use of the resources available within my course, and they were extremely useful to have access to.

Would you recommend UWTSD and why?

I would recommend UWTSD because I had a positive experience, made lifelong friends and gained self confidence throughout the three years. The location also is a huge positive and there is lots to do which is super important as a university student.
