Gregory Owen
Background
Dr Gregory Owen has over 25 years of experience in education, spanning secondary, further and higher education. He holds a Master’s degree in Physics and completed a PhD in Nanotechnology focused on gas sensing applications. Alongside his academic career, Gregory has contributed nationally as the Welsh Representative for the Engineering Professors Council, supporting the advancement of engineering education and policy. His teaching and research interests centre on innovative approaches to teaching and learning, drawing on his breadth of sector experience to enrich the student experience. In addition, he has served as an examiner for AQA, providing insight into assessment and curriculum design. Dr Owen’s extensive expertise across education and his commitment to innovation help shape his contributions to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, ensuring that his practice reflects both academic rigour and current sector needs.
