Background
Jemma commenced her teaching career delivering NVQ programmes in education at HMP Cardiff, gaining over seven years of experience supporting adult learners in secure environments. She subsequently completed a Postgraduate Certificate in Education at the University of South Wales before moving into the further education sector, where she taught catering and hospitality programmes to learners with additional learning needs. This role strengthened her subject expertise and deepened her commitment to inclusive and differentiated teaching.
To further enhance her professional practice, Jemma completed a Master’s in Leadership and Management in Education. This academic progression led to her transition into higher education, where she now delivers industry-informed teaching that integrates theoretical knowledge with applied practice in the fields of gastronomy and hospitality.
