Have you ever wondered why society is the way it is? Have you ever wondered why people are excluded? Sociology is the study of the development, structure and functioning of human society and our Sociology programme delves into these questions and helps you form an understanding of the variety of human societies.

Our Sociology programme is designed to provide you with a deep understanding of the complexities of society and the social forces that shape the world.  Sociologists seek to understand how society works and why in turn it doesn’t.  With us you’ll explore the diversity of human and social needs as well as the social policies and welfare institutions which exist to meet them.
