What was your favourite thing about Swansea campus?

There is a really strong sense of community throughout the university. There are so many opportunities to meet new and interesting personalities, students and staff alike. It’s quite small, so it feels more personal, you always see someone you know in the halls.

Why did you choose UWTSD?

The spaces and facilities are amazing. You are able to explore so many aspects of art such as life drawing, ceramics, printmaking etc. the equipment and guidance is outstanding. The fine art studios are also one of kind, offering students a space to create freely, surrounded by likeminded artists.

What did you enjoy outside your studies?

I enjoyed building relationships with the amazing people on my course that I’ll never forget, enjoying the beach and nightlife.

What do you hope to do when you graduate?

I hope to continue my practice and studies through a masters course. I plan on studying a Masters degree in UWTSD as I really enjoy it here. It has helped me to see that a career through art is a viable path, which I didn’t realise before. I have developed a stronger sense of confidence in myself, I am able to speak about my practice and built up my intelligence. I do not 100% know where I want to take my career yet, but it feels that there’s so many options for me now, the world doesn’t feel as small anymore.

What was your favourite thing about your course?

The excitement of building up an exhibition. The anticipation, everyone getting involved and stuck in is such an amazing time. Helping out others and hearing about their practice and views feels pivotal, it helped me develop a new skill set and grow as both artist and person.

Would you recommend UWTSD and why?

I would recommend UWTSD, especially if you are interested in the arts. I have had no issues with finding help when I needed it and the staff are exceptional. The courses push you to reach your potential, and I feel that I am a better person coming out of it.
