What was your favourite thing about the Swansea campus?

My favourite things on campus were the excellent studio space we had to work with and the wide range of equipment we had available to us on this course and the excellent library space on the other campus which was great for studying and module research.

Why did you choose UWTSD?

I chose UWTSD because there aren’t many versions of this course in the country, this one was most accessible to me, and I had seen some of the work to come out of the course that was really interesting.  I felt it would set me up with a wide range of skills that I could apply to any workspace I end up in.

What did you enjoy outside your studies?

During my studies I enjoyed taking walks around local trails and the beaches and playing tabletop games in the local game shop with my friends, as well as appreciating Swansea’s nightlife on Wind Street on occasion.

What do you hope to do when you graduate?

I hope to set up my own small freelance business working within my local area to create prints and other textile products to help fuel the local economy.  I want to settle down with a simple and creative life and enjoy more hikes and travels around the world.

What was your favourite thing about your course?

My favourite thing about the course is the wide variety of skills and equipment you learn about.  Having skills in screen printing to spot welding has given me a wide range of possibilities for my work and possible career directions, giving me the freedom to make my work unique and different to others. Furthermore, the ability to work with real brands during the live brief experiences on the course gives us a great opportunity to experience real life roles and opens us up to connections with said brands in the future.

Would you recommend UWTSD and why?

I would recommend UWTSD as they have an excellent range of staff members who are always happy to help and have a great range of possibilities and courses that fit a breadth of people’s interests and criteria.
