From Poland to London: UWTSD graduate fulfils dream of a career in Health and Social Care
A student who moved from Poland to London in search of new opportunities is celebrating graduating from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David’s (UWTSD) London campus after describing her degree as one of the best decisions she has ever made.
Emilia Milewska graduated in BSc Health and Social Care, inspired by a lifelong passion for supporting the health and wellbeing of others and a determination to turn life’s challenges into a positive future.
Emilia said it was her personal experiences that led her to higher education and ultimately to UWTSD.
She said: “I chose to study Health and Social Care because caring for people’s health and wellbeing has always been my priority. This course has only strengthened my belief that I made the right decision. It has given me valuable knowledge, helped me grow both personally and professionally, and offered me far more than I could ever have imagined. It is one of the best decisions I have ever made.”
During her studies, Emilia embraced the opportunity to learn alongside students from around the world while benefiting from the support of UWTSD’s academic and professional staff.
She said: “The university has an incredible team of staff and offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Here, I had the opportunity to meet many inspiring people from all over the world. I would like to thank all the lecturers for their hard work, dedication, and the knowledge they shared with us, as well as the university staff for their kindness, encouragement, and belief in me throughout my journey.”
As she looks ahead to the future, Emilia says she will carry with her the confidence, skills, and friendships she gained during her time at UWTSD.
She added: “This is not the end – it is only the beginning of a new and exciting chapter. In life, it is never too late for three things: love, learning and fulfilling dreams.”
