UWTSD London graduate celebrates MBA success with Distinction and global ambitions
A digital marketing professional with more than a decade of industry experience is celebrating graduating with an MBA in International Business with Distinction from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David’s (UWTSD) London Campus today.
Originally from Cumilla, Bangladesh, 31-year-old Khizir Ahamed chose to study at UWTSD to build on his extensive experience in digital marketing, search engine optimisation (SEO), online business development, and entrepreneurship, while developing the strategic leadership skills needed to succeed in international business.
Khizir said: “I saw the MBA as more than a qualification. It was an opportunity to transform my professional experience into global business leadership and prepare for the next stage of my career.”
Throughout the programme, Khizir developed expertise in strategic management, international marketing, financial management and human capital management, while collaborating with classmates from a wide range of cultural backgrounds.
He credits the course with strengthening his leadership, communication and decision-making skills and providing the confidence to lead organisations in an increasingly global and technology-driven business environment.
“The lecturers connected academic theory with real business situations, which made the learning incredibly valuable,” he said. “Completing the MBA with Distinction is one of the achievements I am most proud of.”
Alongside his studies, Khizir continued to explore the growing role of artificial intelligence in digital marketing, leadership, and business decision-making, reflecting his commitment to innovation and lifelong learning.
Studying overseas brought its own challenges, including adapting to a new country and academic system, but Khizir says resilience, effective time management and support from UWTSD staff enabled him to succeed.
He would encourage others considering postgraduate study to choose the MBA (International Business) programme.
“The course equips students with practical knowledge, strategic thinking and global perspectives that are essential in today’s competitive business environment. The lecturers genuinely care about students’ success, and the programme prepares graduates to become effective leaders.”
Following graduation, Khizir plans to continue building his career in international business while pursuing his entrepreneurial ambitions by developing technology-driven business solutions that harness artificial intelligence and emerging technologies. His long-term goal is to build internationally recognised businesses that create employment opportunities, drive digital transformation, and support future entrepreneurs through ethical leadership and innovation.
