UWTSD MBA graduate sets sights on leadership career in global recruitment
A passion for leadership and international business has led London-based student Himanshu Rajput to graduate with an MBA in International Business from the University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD) today.
Originally from India, 27-year-old Himanshu moved to the UK after spending more than four years working in recruitment, talent acquisition and customer service. Keen to broaden his strategic thinking and develop his leadership skills, he chose to study at UWTSD’s London campus.
“I wanted to take my career to the next level and gain a deeper understanding of how businesses operate and grow internationally,” said Himanshu. “UWTSD’s practical approach to learning, combined with its supportive lecturers and diverse student community, made it the perfect choice.”
Throughout the course, Himanshu particularly enjoyed collaborating with classmates from a range of cultural and professional backgrounds, as well as applying theory to real business challenges through case studies, group projects and his dissertation.
His research focused on the growing role of Artificial Intelligence in recruitment within project-based organisations, exploring both the opportunities AI presents for improving hiring efficiency and the ethical considerations surrounding fairness and bias.
Balancing work commitments alongside his studies while adapting to life in a new country presented challenges, but Himanshu credits careful time management, resilience and determination with helping him succeed.
He said: “This MBA has transformed the way I approach strategy, leadership and decision-making. Personally, living and studying in the UK has also boosted my confidence, strengthened my communication skills and helped me become more adaptable.”
Following graduation, Himanshu plans to continue developing his career in talent acquisition and recruitment, combining his professional experience with the strategic business knowledge gained through his MBA. His long-term ambition is to progress into a leadership role, helping organisations build high-performing teams while making a positive impact on both businesses and their people.
He encourages others considering postgraduate study to follow the same path. “I’d recommend this MBA to anyone who wants to grow professionally and personally. It provides a strong understanding of global business, develops critical thinking and equips you with practical skills that are valuable across a wide range of industries.”
