The University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD) is proud to announce that International Travel and Tourism Management students Wiktoria Kuciarska and Sophia Rabaiotti have been selected as ABTA Student Representatives, recognising them as two of the UK’s most promising emerging talents within the travel and tourism industry.

Two students smiling and dressed in dark pink branded hoodie tops sat at a table.

The programme offers students exclusive opportunities for mentorship from leading tourism professionals, including experts from TUI.

Wiktoria, is one of six Level 6 students helping organise this year’s ITT Future You: On the Road event at Swansea Arena. Her leadership and commitment have made her a key part of the award‑winning initiative.

She has embraced wide‑ranging opportunities at UWTSD, from completing a competitive placement at Universal Orlando Resort to participating in international study trips, including Paris and an upcoming Global Adventure to Malaysia.

Wiktoria said: “I’m honoured to represent UWTSD through the ABTA programme. This opportunity will help me grow professionally and build on the global experiences I’ve already gained.”

Alongside her studies, Sophia works for a Specialist Cruise Travel Agency, gaining industry insight as she pursues her ambition to secure a placement with Shore Excursion on a cruise ship. She has completed an extensive range of ABTA and Travel Trade Training courses as part of her programme.

Since September, Sophia has taken part in multiple industry events, including the ABTA Regional Meeting, Institute of Hospitality Round Table on AI, and Meet in Wales Ambassadors Event, as well as trips to ITT Future You, World Travel Market, #Passion4Hospitality, and UWTSD’s Paris visit. She also hopes to join the university’s Global Academic Adventure to Malaysia.

Sophia said: “Being chosen as an ABTA Student Representative is an amazing step forward. I’m excited to deepen my industry experience and contribute to the future of travel and tourism.”

In their new ABTA roles, Wiktoria and Sophia will work side by side to represent UWTSD across the UK. Their success reinforces UWTSD’s position as an ITT Centre of Excellence for Travel and Tourism, offering students strong industry connections, international opportunities, and direct engagement with sector leaders.

Programme Manager Jacqui Jones said: “We are incredibly proud of Wiktoria and Sophia. Their dedication, professionalism, and passion for the industry truly reflect the strength of our tourism programmes at UWTSD.”
