I gael yr holl wybodaeth, darllenwch y dudalen gwneud cais am fisa a chanllawiau.

Sylwch mai dim ond ar gyfer rhaglenni wyneb yn wyneb, ar gampws, heb elfennau astudio ar-lein y gall myfyrwyr sy’n derbyn Cymorth Ffederal yr Unol Daleithiau wneud cais.

  • Fel arfer, mae’r asesiadau a ddefnyddir yn y Rhaglenni hyn yn ffurfiannol neu’n grynodol ac wedi’u cynllunio i sicrhau bod myfyrwyr yn dod yn ymwybodol o’u cryfderau a’u gwendidau. Fel arfer, bydd y math hwn o asesiadau wedi’i llunio ar ffurf ymarferion ymarferol lle mae dull ymarferol yn dangos gallu’r myfyriwr ar amrywiaeth o weithgareddau. Yn draddodiadol, caiff asesiad ffurfiol o fewn amser penodol ei gynnal drwy ddefnyddio profion ac arholiadau sydd, fel arfer, yn para dwy awr.

Mae arholiadau’n ddull traddodiadol o wirio mai gwaith y myfyriwr yntau yw’r gwaith a gynhyrchwyd. Er mwyn helpu dilysu gwaith cwrs y myfyriwr, y mae’n ofynnol mewn rhai modylau bod y myfyriwr a’r darlithydd yn trafod y testun a gaiff ei asesu ar sail unigol, gan adael y darlithydd i fonitro cynnydd.

Mae rhai modylau lle mae’r asesu’n seiliedig ar ymchwil yn gofyn bod myfyrwyr yn cyflwyno canlyniadau’r ymchwil ar lafar/yn weladwy i’r darlithydd a chyfoedion, gyda sesiwn holi ac ateb i ddilyn. Mae’r cyfryw strategaethau asesu yn cyd-fynd â’r strategaethau dysgu ac addysgu a ddefnyddir gan y tîm, hynny yw, lle’r nod yw creu gwaith sydd dan arweiniad myfyrwyr, yn unigol, yn adfyfyriol a phan fo’n briodol, wedi’i gyfeirio at alwedigaeth. Bydd adborth i fyfyrwyr yn digwydd ar ddechrau’r cyfnod astudio ac yn parhau gydol y cyfnod astudio a thrwy hynny ganiatáu ar gyfer ychwanegu gwerth o’r radd flaenaf at yr hyn y mae’r myfyriwr yn ei ddysgu.

  • Mae’r Drindod Dewi Sant yn ymfalchïo yn y ffaith ei bod yn Brifysgol ddwyieithog ac er nad oes unrhyw fodiwlau ar gael drwy gyfrwng y Gymraeg ar y cwrs hwn ar hyn o bryd, ym mhob achos gall myfyrwyr gyflwyno asesiadau ysgrifenedig drwy gyfrwng y Gymraeg.

    Cyfleoedd Cymraeg a Chymreig

A ninnau’n brifysgol flaenllaw yng Nghymru, rydym yn falch o gynnig gwasanaethau cymorth a neuaddau preswyl arbennig i fyfyrwyr Cymraeg eu hiaith, gan annog ymdeimlad o gymuned a chartref oddi cartref, gan gynnwys ymuno â chlybiau a chymdeithasau i siaradwyr Cymraeg a dod yn aelod o’n cangen fywiog y Coleg Cymraeg Cenedlaethol.

    Cyfleoedd i Ddysgu Cymraeg

Rydym hefyd yn darparu amrywiaeth o gyfleoedd i ddysgu a datblygu eich sgiliau Cymraeg.

  • Mae’n bosibl cwblhau’r rhaglen astudio hwn heb unrhyw gostau ychwanegol.

Efallai bydd myfyrwyr yn dymuno prynu deunyddiau ar gyfer modylau, megis y prosiect mawr ond nid yw hyn yn ofynnol, ac ni fydd yn effeithio ar y marc terfynol.

  • Efallai eich bod yn gymwys i gael arian i helpu i gefnogi eich astudiaethau.  I ddysgu am ysgoloriaethau, bwrsarïau a chyfleoedd ariannu eraill sydd ar gael, ewch i’n hadran Bwrsarïau ac Ysgoloriaethau.

  • Mae galw mawr am fesurwyr meintiau yn y DU ac mae diffyg ohonynt. Bydd y ffaith fod gweithlu’r DU yn heneiddio ac effaith Brexit yn golygu ei fod yn hanfodol i’r prinder sgiliau hyn cael ei ddatrys. Yng Nghymru’n unig, amcangyfrifir y bydd angen recriwtio 1,300 o bobl bob blwyddyn i lenwi’r bylchau fydd yn cael eu gadael yn y diwydiant o ganlyniad i ymddeoliadau. Nod y cwrs gradd hwn yw cynhyrchu graddedigion â’r sgiliau mesur meintiau sydd eu hangen i lenwi’r bwlch yn niwydiant adeiladu’r DU.

Mae adeiladu’n cyfrannu tua £132 biliwn i’r asedau sefydlog sy’n sail i economi’r DU. Yn ôl disgrifiad y CIOB (2020) mae gennym dros 28 miliwn o gartrefi, ¼ miliwn milltir o ffyrdd, 46 maes awyr, 350,000 milltir o garthffosydd a 10,000 milltir o reilffyrdd cenedlaethol. Yn fwy a mwy aml, fel diwydiant, rydym yn gweld effeithiau technolegau digidol ar y ffordd rydym yn gweithio, megis dronau a realiti rithwir ac estynedig. Hefyd, mae gan y diwydiant adeiladu ran bwysig i chwarae wrth symud tuag at well effeithlonrwydd ynni a chynaliadwyedd.

Dylunnir y rhaglen hon gan ystyried y materion uchod. Er enghraifft, mae deilliannau’r modylau yn mynd i’r afael â phryderon megis cynaladwyedd, effeithlonrwydd ynni, rheoli cyfleusterau, yn ogystal â’r deilliannau mwy cyfarwydd megis theorïau rheoli, llythrennedd, datrys problemau ac anghenion y cleient. Mae amrywiaeth o sgiliau uwch sydd wedi’u dylunio i integreiddio gyda’r deilliannau’r modylau yn atodi’r rhain.

Gwnaiff y rhaglen hon fodloni gofynion y diwydiant ac wrth wneud hynny, darparu profiad dysgu galwedigaethol cadarn sy’n gofyn llawer yn ddeallusol, sy’n gysylltiedig â chyrff diwydiannol a phroffesiynol, gofyniad sy’n bodloni anghenion myfyrwyr a chyflogwyr fel ei gilydd. Yn ychwanegol i hyn, mae y tîm rhaglen wedi datblygu amcanion ar gyfer y rhaglen sy’n cyfoethogi datblygiad cymhwysedd a hyfforddiant technegol ar lefel sy’n gallu bodloni gofynion cyfredol y diwydiant ar gyfer rheolaeth ganol.

Bydd graddedigion y Rhaglen Mesur Meintiau’n dod o hyd i waith naill ai ar ochr ymgynghori’r diwydiant fel Mesurwyr Meintiau, yn rhoi cyngor i gleientiaid ar economeg eu prosiectau datblygu, neu mewn rolau fel Rheolwyr Masnachol ar ochr gontractio’r diwydiant. Ar ddiwedd y cwrs, rhagwelir y bydd graddedigion wedi ennill sgiliau digonol i allu ymgymryd â rôl syrfëwr meintiau graddedig yn y naill sector neu’r llall. Mae gennym hanes cyflogaeth ardderchog ar gyfer ein myfyrwyr graddedig.

  • Assessments used within these Programmes are normally formative or summative and are designed to ensure students become aware of their strengths and weaknesses. Typically, such assessment will take the form of practical exercises where a more hands-on approach shows student’s ability on a range of activities. Traditional formal time-constrained assessment is by means of tests and examinations, normally of two-hour duration.

Examinations are a traditional method of verifying that the work produced is the students’ own work. To help authenticate student coursework, some modules require that the student and lecturer negotiate the topic for assessment on an individual basis, allowing the lecturer to monitor progress.

Some modules where the assessment is research-based require students to verbally/visually present the research results to the lecturer and peers, followed by a question and answer session. Such assessment strategies are in accord with the learning and teaching strategies employed by the team, that is, where the aim is to generate work that is mainly student-driven, individual, reflective and where appropriate, vocationally-orientated. Feedback to students will occur early in the study period and continue over the whole study session thereby allowing for first-class value added to the student’s learning.

  • UWTSD prides itself on being a bilingual University and although there aren’t currently any modules available through the medium of Welsh on this course, in all cases students can submit written assessments through the medium of Welsh.

  • Quantity surveyors in the UK are in high demand but also in short supply.  The ageing demographic of the UK workforce and the impact of Brexit will make it vital that the skills shortage is addressed.  Just in Wales alone, it is estimated that the industry will need 1,300 recruits annually to fill gaps left in the industry due to retirement.  This degree course aims to produce graduates with the necessary quantity surveying skills to fill the gap in the UK construction industry.

Construction contributes about £132 billion to the fixed assets that underpin the UK economy.  As described by CIOB (2020) we have more than 28 million homes, ¼ of a million miles of roads, 46 airports 350,000 miles of sewers and 10,000 miles of national rail. Increasingly as an industry, we are seeing the effects of digital technologies on the way we work such as drones and virtual and augmented reality.  The construction industry also has an important role to play in the move towards greater energy efficiency and sustainability.

This programme is designed with the above issues in mind. For example, module outcomes address concerns such as sustainability, energy efficiency, facilities management along with the more familiar outcomes such as management theories, literacy, problem-solving and client needs. Supplementing these is a range of higher-level skills which have been designed to integrate with module outcomes.

This programme will meet industry demands and in doing so provide a sound intellectually demanding vocational learning experience linked to industry and professional body a requirement that satisfies the needs of both students and employers. Furthermore, the programme team has developed the aims of the programme to enhance the development of technical competence and training at a level, which is capable of meeting the industry’s current requirements for middle management.

Graduates of the Quantity Surveying Programme will find employment in either the consultant side of the industry as Quantity Surveyors, advising clients on the economics of their development projects or in roles such as Commercial Managers within the contracting side of the industry.  At the end of the course, it is anticipated that graduates will have acquired sufficient skills to be able to fulfil the role of a graduate quantity surveyor in either of these sectors. We have an excellent record of employment for our graduating students.

  • Your natural academic progression from our HNC Quantity Surveying programme would be to BSc Quantity Surveying.
