2 Years Full-Time
120 Credits

The BA (Hons) Applied Business is a two-year, full-time top-up degree for students progressing from the CertHE Business Skills into Levels 5 and 6.

You will develop the knowledge and skills needed to understand how businesses work, make better decisions and respond to change. The course focuses on practical business challenges, helping you connect your learning to the world of work.

You will explore areas such as enterprise, finance, marketing, people management, projects, supply chains, data, leadership and strategy. You will also build your confidence in solving problems, working with others and communicating ideas clearly.

At Level 6, you will bring your learning together through a consultancy project. This gives you the chance to work on a real business problem, develop a solution and present your recommendations to a client.

The course is designed to support your career development and prepare you for graduate-level roles and further study. You will build skills in critical thinking, decision-making, leadership, communication and professional practice.

Flexible attendance options

The course is delivered on campus in Swansea and Cardiff. Cardiff students can choose from weekday or weekday and weekend attendance patterns, while Swansea teaching takes place on weekdays. There are three full-time intakes each year.
