What was your favourite thing about the Swansea campus?
My favourite thing about the campus was how accessible everything I needed was. All of the workshops and facilities that I needed were within the same building, and the other facilities that I may need for other purposes were within walking distance.
Why did you choose UWTSD?
I chose UWTSD because I appreciated the small class size, allowing for close attentiveness from my lecturers, as well as the instant community and enthusiasm I experienced. I felt like the lecturers truly had my best interest in mind and were incredibly helpful.
What did you enjoy outside your studies?
Outside of my studies I enjoy spending time with friends, running and going to the gym, going to the beach, and trying new coffee shops. I also enjoy reading, painting, and sewing when I am not in university.
What do you hope to do when you graduate?
When I graduate, I hope to finish my environmental degree and then find a job in sustainable design. I hope to work in a studio where I can be hands-on and focus on craftsmanship.
What was your favourite thing about your course?
My favourite thing about the course is the wide variety of technical skills that I learned and was allowed to experiment and explore with.
Would you recommend UWTSD and why?
Yes, I would recommend UWTSD because the attention and help from the lecturers fosters an environment where I felt I could thrive. UWTSD encourages experimentation and provides the necessary resources and tools to be successful. I also appreciate the emphasis that UWTSD places on maintaining balance and the importance of mental health.
