Background

Cerys Davies’ teaching draws on her extensive experience of working as a legal professional, both as a police officer with the Dyfed Powys Police Service, and as a practising solicitor, having specialised in Employment Law. She read Law at the universities of Oxford, Cardiff and South Wales, and gained her PGCE from UWTSD.

Her professional background and subsequent teaching career has shaped her pedagogical commitment to making students’ learning of the Law real and relevant. Cerys is a fluent Welsh-speaker and a keen advocate for the promotion of the language in both educational and legal contexts. She has a particular interest in ensuring that, alongside the attainment of knowledge, students develop the skills necessary for their future careers.
