Darren O'Connor
Background
Darren has extensive experience in the fields of youth and community work, education and Additional Learning Needs. He is a professionally qualified youth worker, as well as a teacher and dyslexia assessor. As a youth worker he has experience of working in both maintained and voluntary sectors, international work and outdoor education. Darren has also much experience in the field of Education Otherwise than at School (EOTAS) and has been a senior manager in local government with responsibility for Additional Learning Needs and Inclusion. He has also worked for the Welsh Government in delivering a number of projects related to additional learning needs including guidance for schools and local authorities, the development of European funded projects to enhance support for learners, and the development of strategic networks.
