Blossom's BA in Surface Pattern and Textiles Experience
What was your favourite thing about the Swansea campus?
My favourite thing about the Swansea College of Art campus is our studio space where we can see each others work and talk to each other about ideas, and how close and accessible different workshops are.
Why did you choose UWTSD?
I chose UWTSD because of the wide range of opportunities and live briefs available to students.
What did you enjoy outside your studies?
I have enjoyed travelling to nearby beaches and towns, this is my first time spending time in South Wales so there has been a lot to explore.
What do you hope to do when you graduate?
I hope that I can make contacts through new designers and find a job as a designer for an interior wallcovering and textiles brand.
I will be on a one month internship at IG design group in July, and hope this gives me a good start in the industry, where I can gain experience and understanding.
What was your favourite thing about your course?
My favourite thing about the course has been the live briefs as they have allowed me to create collections for a range of different contexts and taught me to follow a brief.
Would you recommend UWTSD and why?
I would recommend UWTSD for the opportunities made available and it’s size as there is always someone around to help.
