Turn design concepts into reality. Our Civil Engineering and Architecture programmes provide you with vocational experience across various areas from Building and Quantity Surveying to Construction Management, and Architecture.

Several of our programmes are accredited by RIBA and CABE*, our programmes in Civil Engineering and Architecture give you the opportunity to develop a vast range of skills while developing a more profound knowledge that employers in the industry are looking for.

Our Civil Engineering and Architecture programmes cover core design skills combined with material and structural knowledge and are honed with hands-on practical training giving our graduates a holistic approach and understanding of the dynamic world we practise in.

We encourage live project involvement to ensure you are putting theory into practice in real-world settings through access to collaborative projects.  Gain tangible experience as you collaborate with programmes across the institute to delve deeper into each area of Civil Engineering and Architecture including the environmental impacts.

Facilities

Dedicated studio spaces are available in our purpose-built Innovation Quarter at the heart of Swansea’s up-and-coming SA1 community. Students can access dedicated PC workstations within the studio with software packages such as AutoCAD, Revit, Sketchup and Adobe CCS full suite with associated A1 plotters.

Students can access workshop facilities with various traditional and computer-aided model-making facilities, such as 3D printers and laser cutters. With support from *QUICK* you’ll have access to developing technologies such as drones and Virtual Reality equipment.
