Mae Nicholas Campion yn hanesydd ag arbenigedd mewn anthropoleg ac astudio crefyddau. Mae’n Athro Cysylltiol Cosmoleg a Diwylliant, yn Brif Ddarlithydd yn yr Athrofa Addysg a’r Dyniaethau, ac yn Gyfarwyddwr Canolfan Sophia ar gyfer Astudio Cosmoleg a Diwylliant, yr unig Ganolfan academaidd yn y byd sy’n ymdrin â chysylltiadau diwylliannol â’r awyr a’r cosmos. Mae’n gyfrifol am symud gweithgareddau ymchwil ac addysgu’r Ganolfan ymlaen, trwy oruchwylio myfyrwyr PhD, noddi prosiectau ymchwil, trefnu cynadleddau a digwyddiadau eraill, a chyhoeddi ymchwil. Mae’n Gyfarwyddwr Sefydliad Cytgord, a sefydlwyd yn 2016 ac a gafodd y dasg o ddatblygu’r syniadau a nodwyd yn y llyfr ‘Harmony: A New Way of Looking at Our World’ yn 2010, gan Noddwr y Brifysgol, Ei Fawrhydi y Brenin Charles III, Ei Uchelder Brenhinol Tywysog Cymru ar y pryd, gyda Tony Juniper ac Ian Skelly.
