Our Open Days and Open Evenings are the perfect chance to discover what our courses and campuses have to offer you. An open day will give you a flavour of studying with us, and a chance to meet current students and some of the teaching team. Held throughout the year, these events give you the opportunity to ask the questions that matter most to you, when deciding what and where to study.

Going to an open day is a great way to make sure you make the best choice for your future. It can help you see what makes UWTSD the right place for you. You can get a feel for the campus atmosphere, see the study spaces, equipment and facilities, meet lecturers and students, and discover how you will be supported to thrive, from application to graduation and beyond.
Explore the Campus
Take a tour around UWTSD’s lovely campuses in Swansea, Carmarthen, or Cardiff. Depending on the campus you visit, you’ll see lecture rooms, studios, laboratories, libraries, cafes, sports halls and green spaces – and get a real feel for what it’s like to study there.
Meet the Experts
Chat to friendly lecturers about the courses you’re interested in. They’ll explain what you’ll learn, how you’ll be taught, and answer any questions you have.
Free refreshments
Complimentary tea, coffee, water, and biscuits or Welsh cakes are available throughout the day to keep you refreshed. At our daytime events, Open Days, there’s a free lunch too.
Wellbeing
When you attend an open day at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD), you can find out a lot about the wellbeing support available to students. UWTSD’s Wellbeing Service is here to support you through any challenges you might face. The service offers free, professional, student-focused, and confidential support to help you manage stress, mental health issues, and overall wellbeing.
Study Support
UWTSD is dedicated to your academic success. The Learning Support Team provides tools and resources to help you excel in your studies. You can access study skills sessions, time management help, and one-on-one support with the study skills team.
Money Support
When you attend an open day, it’s also a good idea to find out about student finance and explore our money support. Our friendly, experienced staff can help you find your way through the system, from tuition fee loans to maintenance support, and discover extra help.

Welsh Language Opportunities
At the University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD), there is strong support for students who wish to study in Welsh. The Welsh Language Service Centre promotes and develops Welsh-medium education opportunities. There are scholarships available for studying part of your course in Welsh and the university provides support for students who want to learn or improve their Welsh.

Planning to live away from home while you study? UWTSD offers a variety of accommodation options to suit different preferences and needs. All accommodation is safe, secure and independent, whether you prefer a social environment or a quieter setting. Our accommodation staff can help you with finding the right place to live when you are at university. Perhaps you plan to live at home. There are comfortable places to study and meet friends, plus other facilities and services that can help make your life easier.
