Cefndir

Mae gan Dr Louise Emanuel dros 30 mlynedd o brofiad proffesiynol ac addysgu sydd wedi canolbwyntio ar y pryder am leoedd, eu datblygiad hanesyddol, a’r ffordd y mae unigolion a chymunedau’n ymgysylltu â’r lleoedd y maent yn byw ynddynt, yn gweithio ynddynt, yn dysgu ynddynt ac yn ymweld â nhw.

Ar ôl graddio mewn Daearyddiaeth o Brifysgol Rhydychen, astudiodd Louise MSc mewn Datblygu Rhanbarthol ym Mhrifysgol Caerdydd. Yna, arweiniodd ei diddordeb mewn ‘llefydd’ i ymchwilio i’r berthynas rhwng canfyddiadau llefydd a datblygiad economaidd ar gyfer ei PhD. Yn ogystal â’i gwaith academaidd, mae Louise wedi gweithio ym maes cynllunio a datblygu cymunedol ac mae hefyd wedi datblygu a rheoli sawl prosiect a ariennir gan yr UE.

Mae Louise wedi bod yn Gomisiynydd ar gyfer Comisiwn Brenhinol Henebion Cymru ers 2017.
