Cefndir

Mae Stephen yn Uwch Ddarlithydd yn PCYDDS lle mae wedi addysgu a chynnal ymchwil ers 2016. Mae’n arbenigo mewn dylunio systemau electronig a gweithgynhyrchu gydag arbenigedd mewn profion uwchsain annistriol, prosesu signalau a thechnegau delweddu. Mae gan Stephen dros ugain mlynedd o brofiad ar draws y byd academaidd a diwydiant. Cyn ymuno â PCYDDS, roedd yn Arweinydd Prosiect yn The Welding Institute, gan reoli prosiectau ymchwil cymhwysol ar gyfer partneriaid yn y diwydiant a datblygu technolegau archwilio uwchsain, gan gynnwys systemau roboteg a systemau seiliedig ar laserau. Yn ogystal, mae wedi dal rolau ymchwil a pheirianneg sy’n canolbwyntio ar ddylunio caledwedd electronig, cadarnwedd a meddalwedd ar gyfer offer arolygu uwchsain a ddefnyddir yn y sectorau petrocemegol, rheilffyrdd ac awyrofod.

Mae ganddo PhD mewn Gwella’r Datrysiad o Ddelweddau Uwchsain Modd B ac mae ei ymchwil cyfredol yn parhau i archwilio prosesu signalau ystadegol a chanolbwyntio ar dechnegau ar gyfer gwella ansawdd delweddau uwchsain.
