CIPD - Strategic People Management (PGDip)
The Strategic People Management PG Diploma is for anyone aiming to lead and improve people practices in organisations.

The Strategic Management programme comprises two main parts.

Part two, for those wishing to go further, leads to the full Strategic People Management MA.

What you will learn

Year 1
In the first year, you will explore the foundational aspects of strategic people management, including understanding the business context, shaping cultures and behaviours, and driving change. You will gain insights into building business cases and advanced application of employment law, setting the stage for more specialised modules in the second year.
Year 2
The second year delves deeper into specialised areas such as supporting learning, resourcing and talent management and driving performance. You will also focus on driving your development and applying your knowledge in practical settings, preparing you for leadership roles in strategic people management.

English language requirements
If English is not your first language or you have not previously studied in English, our usual requirement is the equivalent of an International English Language Testing System (IELTS Academic Test) score of 6.0, with not less than 5.5 in each of the sub-tests. We also accept other English language tests.

Visa and funding requirements
If you are not from the UK and you do not already have residency here, you may need to apply for a visa.
For courses of more than six months’ duration you will require a Student visa.
International students who require a Student visa should apply for our full-time courses as these qualify for Student visa sponsorship.

Please note students receiving US Federal Aid are only able to apply for in-person, on-campus programmes which will have no elements of online study.

There are no exams. Assessment will be via reports, academic posters, portfolios, practical demonstrations, short presentations and the creation of learning resources for managers.

The qualification will enable students to apply for positions requiring level 7 CIPD status and subject to one year’s experience, for Chartered Membership of the CIPD.
